Mid 2000s called

They want their movie back.

reply

You mean mid 80's. This movie looks like the companion piece to films like Mac & Me and Explorers. Movies that are so bad, you hated them even when you were little.

reply

Hey man, Explorers was 3/4 awesome, save for that lame ending

reply

I agree, the first 3/4's of Explorers is genius.

reply

LOL, guess it was just me then. Even as a child I thought Explorers was corny and lame. E.T. set the bar so high, all other similar movies just fell short every time.

reply

How old were you the last time you watched Explorers?
It was directed by Joe Dante.
I think it holds up well. I think I saw it later on cable. I think the end is a lot of fun and imaginative.

The fact that no one has reviewed or commented on the 3D for Monster Trucks makes me want to see it. It may not be released on home video with 3D, so only a few people will ever experience it in 3D. I also have a local theater with $6 3D matinees, so even if it sucks, they are cheaper than most normally priced matinees everywhere else.

That could mean the 3D sucks, because no one thinks it is worth mentioning, but then again, maybe the few who have seen it in 3D are people who do not review movies online.

Umm... those two movies were released in 2009. It would be late 2000's.

reply

Explorers? No way, that was classic! Definitely one of my favorite childhood movies. That film is right up there with The Goonies. I agree with you on Mac and Me though. Now that was crap!

reply

Mac and Me: YES
Explorers: HELL, NO!

Why do they give out letter jackets to marching band? It's not a sport! We all know it!

reply

That's what made so many 80's movies great !! Especially when you re-watch them now !

reply

WTF?

"Touchdoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown Auburn"

reply

I guess you mean movie like Kangeroo Jack and Garfield.

reply

Small Soldiers, Space Chimps, all those movies with The Rock featuring a marooned space alien
