Oh my goodness, no ma'am

I may have possibly made it 15-20 minutes into this movie when I just decided I couldn't sit through it. The character of the mother,played by a fairly talented actress, was awkward and uncomfortable to watch. She was so over the top and unbelievable- yes I believe there are mothers out there that share some of her traits but not to this extreme. I just couldn't... and I'm pretty laid back about movies. Oh and by the way, what was up with that bad hair/wig whatever it was with the tacky obviously fake blue and pink streaks- gross lol

I made it through on the third try; the whole movie was cringe-inducing.

The mother was not only unbelievable, but extremely unlikeable. Didn't they run this for test audiences so someone could tell them they needed to give their main character two minutes of screen time when you didn't loathe her?

(I thought the shiny synthetic red wig was worse than the one with pink and blue patches.)

Too bad, because "stop trying to label me" is a point seldom addressed on the gay/straight continuum.
