Touching Moments of Realness

I really enjoyed Monk with a Camera. Especially watching Nicky Vreeland evolve from a NYC rich kid to an Abbott of a Tibetan monastery in India. He used his advantages and global connections to become a spiritual leader and help refugees from oppression.

I'm so impressed with the palatial monastery his photos enable them to build. Especially after seeing the dinky little place he stayed for 14 years.

There were so many moments of realness that made me love Nicky more:
1) His interactions with his teacher Khyongla Rinpoche. After so many years working together, they hardly had to speak out loud.

2) His interactions with his father Frecky Vreeland. Especially at the official opening of the new monastery. Dad was soooo proud.

3) His interactions with The Dalai Lama. The guy is such a joker. I was cracking up when he had each of the Vreeland brothers by the nose.

What were your favorite parts?

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
