Gwen was so unlikeable + personal rant

I couldn't find it in me to root for her and can't believe she would rather die and ensure a certain status for her daughter than stay with her with her and endure a less glamorous job and outcome together.
Also, it kinda bothered me that the company would roll out the procedure when it was still terribly flawed. Wouldn't the twins and the subjects' families realize that they had been lied to (about what the procedure actually was)? People could have sued big time and there could be other major consequences for the company. It does not seem like the sort of risk such a huge corporation would take.
I wanted to like this movie, there were so many great ideas and amazing social commentary. However, the storytelling was so underwhelming it seemed like a missed opportunity.
