Pissed me off S. Dakota museum didn't even get a finder's fee

They should've kept the find a secret, and had a 3rd party buy the land from Williams. That's what a clever person would've done.

The Black Hill museum could've have made a bundle from Sue staying in S. Dakota.
The whole state would benefit. Intellectual property, given away like it's nothing. It's not every day you find a nearly complete T Rex fossil!
1 million probably went to lawyer's fees...

Just were too honest... not clever enough!

That theory doesn't work because they never had plans on selling it. An invester would've wanted returns on their investment. They simply wanted to display it.
