Dorset accents?

This is a classic Dorset tale and yet none of the "actors" even attempt a local accent. We saw in Broadchurch earlier in the year that it was possible so why not in this otherwise very decent adaptation? Cant actors act anymore?

Not bothered about accents when i couldn't even hear ray winstone. The idiot just mumbled all his lines and drove me to distraction. In part 2 i ended up fast forwarding through all his scenes. A let down.

I think that having Ray Winstone playing a Dorset smuggler was a mistake giving that he always plays Ray Winstone!

I mentioned his accent to my husband when we watched it on Now TV yesterday. And Aneurin Barnard's Welsh accent kept on coming through as well.
