This was so bad that it's not even worth getting upset over...

This turd of an adaptation will be forgotten and dissolved into oblivion in no time. Fans of the film needn't bother getting upset over this being made.

The thing I find upsetting is the arrogance and hubris of those involved in its making:

Zoe Saldana's nepotic producing of this film with family members and arrogant casting of herself as Rosemary, even though she is not age-appropriate.

Patrick J. Adams stating in an interview, "... I think our version is bringing more of the horror back in." More of the horror?! What is this dolt even talking about? Has he even read the novel? Does he even understand that the original movie was remarkably faithful to the novel?

The director succeeding in getting personality-less performances out of the cast while simultaneously draining all of the suspense and horror out of the story, yet sitting proudly for interviews -- seemingly not understanding that she's made a horrible film.

It's their beaming with pride over the steaming pile of s@%t they created that is upsetting; their cluelessness while thinking confidently that they've somehow improved upon the original.

The EGO (coupled with stupidity) of everyone involved is what's upsetting.

Room for one more, honey.

You are 100% correct.

Absolutely right. They undermined the sense of paranoia by explicitly giving away the conspiracy from the very beginning.

They turned the coven from seemingly harmless old busybodies to sinister sexy socialites.

They threw in multiple gory death scenes that added no value to the story.

They constantly broke away from Rosemary's narrative for superfluous plot lines that broke the foundation of the narrative.

What a ludicrous attempt.

The one area they could've exceeded the original....With the actual appearance of the baby, they failed miserably. If they had tried in 1969 to show the baby with the eyes, and claws, and budding horns (described in the novel) it likely would've looked terrible. Instead we got Mia Farrow's awesome horrified reaction and the rest was left to our imaginations. Now we live in a day where creating a devil's spawn in film would be no problem, and we get an adorable baby with eyes that are slightly abnormally blue. Definitely dropped the ball.

Excellent, because the original is one of my favorite films of all time and I quite enjoyed this modern reimagining.

And as for the statement about Zoe's casting being "arrogant," Roma Downey cast herself as the Virgin Mary in Son of God and backlash has been minimal to non-existent. Some of you make a mountain out of a molehill. It's a miniseries/movie. It doesn't affect your personal lives ... why are you so pressed over fiction? LOL.

Watched about 40 min and stopped. Complete crap.

I agree, same here. Boring beyond belief.
P.S.: I am a HUGE fan of the Polanski film.

I thought part 1 was okay but found they simply gave up with part 2.

Oh my god! Yes, I totally agree!
