Did anyone else catch on to that right away? The traps in the opening sequence, though different made me think of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. And that's nothing compared to the LAST CRUSADE style climax with Mathayus going through a trap where his steps make all the difference in order to find a magical object to save the life of Valina's dying father Sorrell. The villain Drazen even dies trying to use said object, though without involving a false crown like the false grail.
