I am kind of surprised this got a 5.7 on IMDB

I understand the beginning was kind of...stereotypical. However, I think it really picked up in the end. At first, I kind of thought, "Dangit, this is one of those 'I want to push the hardcore life to the max' movies, which never really entertain me, which I always thought the purpose of a movie was.

However, when you see the characters come into play, you realize that it touches base with the complexities of family. How different people hold to their beliefs, and yet, still hold to family is such a mystery.

I will have to admit, at the end, when I saw what the gay boyfriend did, all I could think was, "You, sir, have just made this a kick-ass movie."
