I don't understand where the baby is?

I thought this was rather a rediculous representation of a new mom. Being a new mom, myself I understood some of the issues she was dealing with at the beginning of the film. (The doctor, feeling lonely at home, the isolation, not relating to friends etc) and while I didn't have a problem with bonding like it seemed like Kelly was. The fact that the baby completely disappears by the end of the story and she is out all the time without him, never seen with him at home, never even seen nursing ( how she was even able to nurse while being away from baby that long and not pumping is beyond me) is just not a realistic of any mom, home or working. It really took me out of the story. Where the heck was the kid? A magic baby sitter? I've seen more realistic representation of motherhood in a stupid hollywood comedy such as "neighbors" than this film?!!

Didn't Cybil Sheppard's character take the baby so Juliette could have some time to reflect on her life? It seems she went to the house and Jackson was in his car seat on the couch.

Well you obviously don't know how to pay attention to the film. The baby is was being babysat by the mother inlaw.

Her friction with his intrusive family was a major plot point.
They had no boundaries.
They invaded her home like it was theirs, were super involve in their lives, walked in the house without knocking first, talked about her as she was a problem they had to deal with, took over watching the baby in the afternoons, gave her a card for a therapist etc...

She told them she wanted to work with the handicapped remember and that's where they thought she was when she was spending time with Cal.
You find out during the course of events that the sister isn't really a one dimensional harpie. She really really wants a family (like what Kelly has) so from her side of the fence she doesn't see any reason she shouldn't be happy. It always looks good from over the fence though.
