I'd buy Murchison Hume Products
And I'm guessing a lot of people I know would too. I appreciate the lack of harsh chemicals and like the designs. It's not for everybody, but I think the problem was more with them putting higher end products in the wrong markets. Someone shopping at the container store probably won't spend $9.00 on a cleaning product. I could definitely see the products working well in smaller boutique/specialty stores. Even department stores like Macy's.
I dislike the Clean Evolution name and the bath tub design--Max was right, it did look like a Muppet head on like that.
Marcus made a big deal about not being able to tell what the product was based on the icon, but failed to reason that people searching for a product--especially if they are looking for one without harsh chemicals--would likely read the labels and could tell from the surrounding products the intended use of each. I don't base my purchases on the logo on the bottle, but its contents.
Murchison Hume products seem to be for more discerning customers, not for the broad market. A cleaner without harsh chemicals will cost more no matter what. Someone who buys a gallon of bleach and a bottle of Windex for their needs likely won't switch over the Murchison Hume even if the price drops a few dollars a bottle because they aren't interested in what it offers when that costs even a little more.
