They are just using lesbianism to make a name and grab some attentions. Movies so unreal, so stupid, so cheap. I live in Iran and know quite enough to tell you that is women making lesbian movies about Iranian lesbians or women have no idea what they are talking about. I am glad they are failing.

I am not sure I understand what you are saying but I think I agree. I don't understand why they are combining both lesbianism (or at least bisexuality) with being Iranian. Would it not be better to make a movie that applies to a greater percentage of Iranian women? Yes, making it sexual gets more attention but I think it does not help the world understand Iranian women in general.

It's a movie about the difficulties of NOT beig part of the greater percentage of people.
I have known a couple of gay, etc. people from cultures where it isn't looked upon favorably... This movie was spot on for that crowd.
Writers write what interests them. If this story spoke to the writer, then she should do it.
I don't think the director made this movie about being a Persian-american lesbian in order to grab attention. I think she herself is a Persian American lesbian and she made a movie about this because she knows about it. I assume that there are lesbians from every culture, even those cultures that don't approve at all. I thought the movie was very well done and realistic. And that it was interesting to see the story through the eyes of a culture different than my own.
