It's very difficult to watch Rocky...

In his declining years.

After watching him for the past 35 years, his triumphs, his family, his heart, his determination and just being with him from his 20's to now, it's killing me as a fan to see him talking about his past as if it's now a forgotten relic, seeing him alone and sick with cancer.

It's a testament to how well they structured these films where it actually feels like your watching a friend slowly losing everyone, become elderly and eventually die.

I miss him in his prime, young, hungry, tough with Adrian and Pauly at his side. I cry each time he's telling Adonis about all of his memrobelia, in the past, no longer mattering to anyone, that his days are past and over, I hate hearing him say that lol!

I hope that if they do another film they'll go easy on ol' Rock and allow some spark of happiness and former glory into this hero's life.

It's the logical price to pay for us getting 2 more great movies with an aging Stallone. Totally worth it in my book.

This is why "Rocky Balboa" was such a perfect finale for the series. Instead of beating the hell out of Rocky out of the ring for 2 hrs, it celebrated him. It showed us that even at 61, a few hiccups here and there, Rocky could still do it.
