I missed the ending and OTHER scenes- (Spoilers)

What happened b/w her boyfriend (policeman Mike) and her father? I actually missed a lot of the movie because not feeling well - so I fell asleep on and off. Did her boyfriend have something to do w/the killings? Sorry, its just one of those days where I'm sick/drowsy and didn't really pay attention. I know it will come on again but in case I miss it... could someone just tell me .. just make sure to use the Spoiler marker. I would appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance.

** Maybe one day down the road I will see it, but I really want to know now what was the deal b/w her father (judge) and her boyfriend (cop). Again thanks.

I love the lead actress, as well; from what I DID see, she did a good acting job.

***SPOILER***

The cop had admired her dads work for years. He had been a student of James Ogden when he was in HS and knew about Ogden, the two other guys, and Her dad being Daedalus. At the end it shows his boot has a heart on it from the picture frame in her bedroom basically showing that he was the one that captured her and placed her in the garage. And then all part of the plan happened like it was supposed to. She kills her dad and now the new Daedalus will be the cop. So they can now make a part 2 if wanted to. Hope that wasnt too confusing. Funny as wife and I watched it she said the cop was in on it from the very beginning, and as soon as they killed Ogden, I said to my wife, "Well theres those three but who took the picture?" And sure enough right after the commercial break Freddy says the same thing and tried to contact Shelby. I have to watch a lifetime movie every so often with the wife and usually hate it but this one actually kept me interested.

Thanks a lot for your answer because I was also a little confused about the cop, I didn't know who put the chloroform on Shelby's face and I wondered about the meaning of the heart on the cop's shoe. If they do a Daedalus 2 it will be interesting because we will already know the "master", the cop, but all the "suspense" will be about his "associates". Good movie. I was sure that the dad was guilty and my husband thought that the cop had something to do with the story too (not me: I believed the cop was innocent and honest).

Thank you so much for explaining it all to me, it wasn't confusing at all; like I said I'm not feeling well and I kept falling asleep (although I wanted to see the movie), not because the movie was boring it was just me being drowsy. What I did see confused me I guess because I really didn't see a lot of scenes b/w her father and the cop. Its sickening what these men did, now w/the cop being "master" they could probably do a sequel. What will happen to the daughter? She needs to stay far away from the cop, even though she doesn't know "it was all part of their plan". I wonder what will happen to her?
I feel bad for the daughter. Thank you so much for the details you gave me about the movie I am sure Lifetime will run it again someday - they often do.
