Now I would love to see a monster/alien type movie done in this style

This movie was great. One of the better first person type movies too. For some reason I really love this genre of films, it's just more immersive than regular movies. Blair Witch, Grave Encounters, Cloverfield, etc. And like I said this was one of the better ones of this style. Maybe not the greatest movie ever or plot sure fine, but it was entertaining enough with plenty of well done exciting action and a decent plot, and humor. Really felt like a video game movie which was great. Now I really wanna see a movie like this, just some dude or dudes blasting monsters, aliens, zombies, and other creepy creatures in cool locations like I dunno hell or mars or underground science labs and tunnels, with plenty gratuitous violence and gore but also disturbing imagery, think the new Doom game. And that one portion of the Doom movie only 1,000 times better.
