Once again Overrated Crap.

It seriously makes me wonder what you people been smoking.
Boring beyond belief. The only good thing about this is that the Characters are spitting image to the game Character's and the Martial arts{minus magic}. However the overall story is just boring.

I Could only watch 45 mins before almost falling asleep as it seemed like they would be staying in Japan the whole time with only 3 character's.

In my opinion Some Movie/Game conversions Can be great without the Magic nonsense. This is why Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 Failed miserably.
Personally the best Game conversion still to this day is the first MK and soon to be MK4.

The fact that you think the first MK is better just means that you enjoy movies with a lot of action, and little drama. This series had good drama that stuck with the original SFA generation storyline. It's really made only for the hardcore street fighter fans, especially those familiar with the SFA storyline. If you've never really been familiar with the storyline of SF, you won't like it very much. There aren't many characters here because the movie is full of depth and focuses on a few characters (Ken, Ryu, Gouki, Gouken, Gotetsu), all of whom are important characters in SFA and are perfect for the first series. The title "Assassin's Fist" is the English translation of "Ansatsuken" the fighting style used by the above mentioned fighters. The whole series is about the history of "Ansatsuken".

This series is brilliant and just the beginning.

Another douchebag with A.D.D that needs action every second to be entertained. Go watch Transformers or some *beep*

I'm saying this as someone who likes Mortal Kombat games and never has played SF games - this was a good movie. Far better than the first MK movie. Likely the best "video game movie" that I've seen (speaking of its merits as movie, obviously can't say too much about accuracy regarding source material from my own experience), though obviously not perfect.

What magic nonsense in SFAF are you talking about? The first MK didn't have magic nonsense? I'm confused.

I wouldn't give this movie a 8/10, but this is definitely how you do a Street Fighter movie. The other two attempts (94'-which had a dope soundtrack and 09') were doo-doo.
