What's with the campaign to lower the rating for this excellent movie?

I see that of the 144 voters, 42 have rated this movie as 1 star. If those are excluded, the majority vote would be 10 stars.

This looks like the same kind of campaign that was used to try to silence Malala, and look where that ended up! She is an international superstar, influencing government leaders, and making real change.

My wife and I saw this at #tiff2015, and returned with our daughters for another showing. The movie is excellent, but it appears some people just can't accept it, or Malala. I'm going to enjoy watching her change the world!

Nobel peace prize for getting shot while attending school. I'm in awe!,But Wheres the peace in that?

Obviously you need more education on the subject. She was shot for being an activist who spoke against the Taliban.

Since you have already seen the movie, and took your daughters, I was wondering what age you feel it is appropriate for? My 12 year old son has the opportunity to watch it, but I am trying to find specifics on the content to make sure I feel comfortable with him seeing it.

The movie is very uplifting. She triumphs over the people that tried to kill her, and she's improving the world. And she's got 2 brothers that get under her skin, plus homework and exams to study for.

It is very appropriate for parents to bring kids to.

Thank you for your response :)

The 1/10 ratings are ridiculous. But it's definitely not a great film.
