Snooze Fest

I'm waiting to find out why she is so important. This documentary is a non-event. It put me to sleep.

Yeah, I agree. Such a shame given that Guggenheim's two previous documentaries were fabulous. It's not terrible, but not that good either. It's just a very simple and minimalistic depiction of Malala, without much new information.

I was very enthralled by the movie. Oh though I had a general knowledge of her I really didn't know a lot about her and this movie gave me a look into that. Not just her public persona but how she is in every day life. I enjoyed the way everything was presented. I was never bored watching it.

She is not important. It is her message that is important, but yes, it gets lost a little bit. She is an otherwise ordinary girl with extraordinary courage and talent for speaking. Had she been killed, we likely would not be hearing her message at all. Her story would have been a 90-second report on world news. What is important is that she lived, recovered, and continues to speak and inspire. If this film is lacking, consider it an introduction to the book it is based upon and have a read.

you can not polish a turd and expect a lump of gold to appear.

I'm sure it puts all 8-year-old kids, like yourself, to sleep. Stick to something more your level like Disney cartoons.
