Thousands of people deserves this, why her?

To be honest what she did was nothing which should get this much hype. Like she got nobel prize for exactly doing what? Surviving terroist attack? And then moving to US lol, Not to forget Mr Obama got Nobel for spreading peace lol.

If someone should get from Pakistan its people like Mr Abdul Sattar Ehdi who are doing great work in service of humanity.

reply

Agreed on both Obama and Malala, not sure either one deserved this. Obama got this Peace Prize back in 2009 and I think he'd only been President for a short while at that point, and Malala well she's been so 'brave' to be hiding out studying in Edgbaston, UK while her dad works in the Pakistani embassy in Birmingham. Wonder who the next one is going to... maybe Putin, Jong-un or Assad?

reply

I read a story about the guy that nominated Obama for the peace prize was dismissed from the committee and that it was the first time it ever happened.

reply

The picks were becoming absurd. Obama was that guy's first winner of dubious distinction. Others have included Liu Xiaobo, the EU (all 500 million of them) and of course CIA fabrication Malala. The Nobel Peace Prize has an integrity behind it that has been tarnished these past several years. The Norwegians were right to let that guy go.

reply

"the EU (all 500 million of them) "

Don't you discredit my nobel peace prize, man!! ;)

reply

Agreed that Abdul Sattar Edhi has been so overlooked.

You people and your slight differences disgust me.

I should receive a Nobel Prize for reading this foolishness. Who are YOU to decide who is deserving? What are YOU doing to make the world a better place?

reply

and YOU think Malala made the world, a better place?

You.......lawyer of Malala? or CNN BBC pro-govt. reporter?

Just because you are ignorant of truths, doesn't mean Malala be given the noble *beep* prize award. Ralph Steinman died and then noble *beep* prize committee realized that he deserved a prize. Google things before vomiting.

reply

My eyes got wet a bit while i read the name of Mr. Edhi. A name which is far above my respect and gratitude. A name for which i say, sir i have no words to thank you for serving this pathetic nation. Yet he and his wife has given their whole life and resources for the betterment of this country. A name to which i bow my head in respect. A name for which i am utterly speechless and at a great loss of words because he is one such person.

I always screamed, when the Noble *beep* prize was being given to Malala just for nothing. The value and dignity of noble prize fell to grounds after they handed over a legacy to her. People give their whole life serving and doing things and then they get this *beep* award. Ralph Steinman passed away and then he was awarded noble *beep* prize. AND you give this *beep* prize to a CHILD who has done nothing to serve humanity, who has no record of achievements. What you infer from such happenings then, that THE PRIZE IS INFLUENCED.

Seriously, from Pakistan if ONE person who deserves with eyes closed and with absolutely no contradiction and to a name to whom EVERY Pakistani will say "yes" is Mr. Abdul sattar Edhi.

Please do some pity on your pathetic and hideous souls. Do some act of good deeds to which the world may recall you some day with honor.

reply

she represents thousands (closer to millions) of people...and that's exactly why she deserves this!

reply

hahahahahahahahahahaha

so if popularity is the selection criteria and achievements are pasted on toilet roll and washed down the flush, then give awards to tony blair, van diesel. After all they are also popular. Ohh i forgot Leonardo, the Titanic guy, who was neither given Academy, nor Golden globe, nor anything else.

Sir you are great with your ignorant bliss. Hail to you sir.

reply

Bahaha awaixjvd, I can only assume you are a male, raging against the coming education of women in your God forsaken world. Oh, the hideous morality of the west! They are the devil, shrewd and unclean!

Whether you like it or not, Malala is a magnet for women's rights in a global perspective. Something America accomplished years ago. If you do not agree that middle eastern treatment of women is barbaric, then nothing I say will reach you. Continue your fears, that women one day may think for themselves.

You are an old tool in a modern factory. You are no longer needed.

And before you judge with errant anger, I am a happily married man, with a wife who is my equal, and children I love.

She was a peacful activist who was shot for her beliefs. She spoke out against the Taliban publicly and fought for womens rights in a country where they are oppressed. She was targeted for execution because she stood up and spoke out. Much like activist you read about in history. Asking what she has done is like asking what did Martin Luther King Jr ever do. They draw attention to social injustice.
