Funniest Moment?

I personally thought the film was really funny (my whole cinema did) but what would you say was the best moment?

For me personally, it wasn't even the main movie, it was the part in the credits where Irving is using a leaf-blower on a golf course and pushing the golf balls off the green pissing off the golfers, split my sides

I just have to say that you sound like a very hateful person. I very much dislike people ruining my movie too, believe me, but why even bring up that the person was a transvestite and stereotype them? It has nothing to do with your story; many people of all sexual preferences and ways of dress talk loud and annoyingly and want to draw attention to themselves (I have gotten annoyed and confronted enough movie-goers myself to know so). In your link you spend almost all of your review poring over every detail of your interaction with this person and two lines on why you give this movie a 10/10 stars (which I do also BTW). Not really a movie review but a tranny bash, which is just mean IMO.

The Diner and Cock Fishing scene.

The part where billy is in the pageant and starts pole dancing to Cherry Pie, the Knoxville gets up there and makes it rain $1. OMG!

My husband and I fell off the bed on that scene! "I was yelling holy smokes! He's making it rain!"

I also like the scene in the bar with the male dancers. Oh my stars!! What was hanging from his underwear!!!

Strip club scene for sure.. it brought tears to my eyes from laughing so much.

For me, it was the strip club and the beauty pageant.

The whole thing was very funny, but that strip club scene was so funny I thought I was gonna piss myself! lol

Close runner-up was the pageant scene. Also loved the scene with the moving men moving his wife's body.

The strip club, the beauty pageant, the malfunctioning coin-op ride and the out of control bed had me in stitches.

reply

The beauty pageant for sure. I was waiting for that scene to come up and it was worth the wait. The strip club scene seemed surreal because everyone in my theater started hollering when Knoxville's "balls" were shown.

Also, the reactions from the black guy who helped with moving the dead wife's body and the white guy who turned around & saw the mess on the restaurant's wall, priceless.

This wasn't funny-funny, but when the bikers ruffed up Billy's dad and the things they were saying to him had my theater laughing, too. Especially the one biker who called himself the death angel or something.

I'd have to say the strip club or the diner. All the scenes were funny but those two especially because they weren't in the trailer and thus weren't spoiled in any way.

I almost wish I never saw any trailers before seeing this as they were more spoilers than trailers, but that said how could you have a trailer for this type of movie that wasn't a spoiler???

reply

definitely the beauty pageant when Billy was pole dancing. I damn near pissed myself when grandpa started throwing out the $1 bills LOL

reply

Same here with the beauty pageant scene. After the $1 bills were thrown I was done. haha

reply

Same, as soon as he started skimming dollar bills I just lost it. The best moment in the film

No-one seems to have brought up the 'bed' scene when the woman pressed the "slow button". That in itself was worth a giggle, but when Knoxville responded to her thinking she was going to have a heart attack and saying "Oh let's make this all about you now" completely cracked me up. Was perfect!

One of my favorite parts of the film was the pageant scene and the diner scene which was rather hilarious.

The diner scene just came out of nowhere, so that was the funniest I think. Favorite line was Irving's response of, "Look lady, this isn't all about you!"

reply

Diner scene for sure. Nearly peed myself and choked on my popcorn at the same time. Lol

The diner scene for sure. I wish the rest of the movie was that wild. They seemed to have chickened out a bit. The movie was very very tame. I wish they let the kid do more stuff as well. The sharting and the dance was the funniest.
