could not watch this

this would be in the review-section but since I didn't even watched half the movie i am just going to write this here.

After watching some really well made videogame docs like "Indie Game: the Movie" and "The King of Kong" or even "Tetris - From Russia with Love" I was expecting this to finally talk about the history of Nintendo and its rise to cult status ina similar manner.
Already during the intro I felt really annoyed by the corny music and over the top offtext. But I thought it was just to recreate this weird nostalgic charme of old vg commercials. But this way of cheap, manipulative TV-style filmmaking continues....
It even has this scene where the director steps into the set and starts explaining the film's premise with really bad acted facial expressions and gestures which makes him appear like a total douche *yuck*
And here it is revealed that the film will mostly focus on some random game collector trying to get all officially released NES-Games and NOT on the history of Nintendo. Worst of all this guy isn't even entertaining and he has to carry the whole movie?

No thanks.

How did you watch it? I tried finding it online but couldn't.

I thought the trailer made it look bad and I sensed cheese from a mile away.

I try not to watch any trailers at all ;-)
This was one of the few times it did not work out

There's a streaming option on the film's website.

It's currently streaming on Amazon Prime in the U.S. And yeah, I agree, this whole documentary was done in the style of a crappy TV reality show. That put me in a bad mood from the start. I hate the fact that reality TV is now starting to influence documentary filmmaking. It cheapens the whole presentation.
