Love the movie but hate the ending

All the movie was amazing and the 2 characters had an amazing chemistry and there was a nice built up to their relationship and then all of the sudden at the end they decide in the movie that they shouldn't be together.

I don't understand the ending. It was forced or like at the last minute they were obligated to erase any gay content.

The 2 belong together.

You have the wrong idea. This isn't Brokeback Mountain. There never was any "Gay content" because that wasn't a part of this movie's plot. The two lead characters were not supposed to become lovers, they were just friends.

Yes, the two would have made a nice couple but that's not the direction that this movie had any intention on taking.
