"It is normal"

Just finnished watching this movie and it made a big impression on me.

When I think back at the movie there is one phrase that keeps repeating in my head. "It is normal". Uttered several times, mostly by witnesses as I recall.

Contrasts. Absurdity and normallity. It is absurd. 5 years to get a divorce. But it is normal. How can we make absurdity an anormality? We must fight.

What do we fight? Strength. Honour. Belief.
How do we win? Passion. Love. Perserverance.

Did we win? Yes, but it was a pretty *beep* outrageous compromize we had to make.

Are we content with our victory? Sure. our opponent was formidable. At times it seemed invincible. So *beep* yeah we're content. Sure I cant sex it up out there in the streets of Isral, but I'll still have my independence, freedom. I can do whatever the *beep* I want without having this dude I hate - but that loves me hanging over me. He's let me go. Sure as *beep* wasn't easy for the guy. Guess some part of him always wanted me to be happy, but a massive ego combined with "pertinence" made the guy dig reaaaaal deep. But hey, credit to the guy. He found it in him. Only way ho could let me go was to bend me over one last time, but *beep*

In Israel there is neither civil marriage nor civil divorce.
