cafe with her lawyer
There is a scene in the movie when a witness accuses Viviane of meeting a man on a cafe. This might seem innocent to us, but the court takes this accusation seriously, since there is an implication of adultery. After hesitating, she says the man she met in the cafe was her lawyer. The judge ask then the lawyer to corroborate the story, and also after hesitating, the lawyer admits it was him that she was meeting there. The audience gets the impression that both Viviane and the lawyer are lying, clearly the director instructed the actors to behave as they were lying in that scene. So, any thoughts on who that man might be? Maybe this is covered on the two previous films that I haven't seen.
