Who was Angels and Demons about?

The Da Vinci Code was about Da Vinci

Inferno was about Dante.

Whose work was at the center of Angels and Demons. I didn't watch it.

I don't think there was one particular artist. The clues involved churches and monuments in Rome, but as far as I can recall, there wasn't a single artist that was the focus of the story. And I wouldn't say that The Da Vinci Code was about Da Vinci, either. Certainly his painting of The Last Supper features prominently in the story, but I think that's the only thing.

I thought it was about the sculptor Bernini. While I found the story a bit daft, I loved the background info and descriptions of the 4 locations for the earth, air, fire and water elements very interesting. Although I'd been there before, I hadn't paid that much attention but because it was woven into a story it brought the pieces of sculpture alive for me.

I thought The Da Vinci Code was more about the belief that Mary Magdalene was the "true" Holy Grail by continuing the bloodline of Jesus and that part of the duty of the Knights of the Templar was to protect that lineage. All the clues are Da Vinci Works and follow that alternate history timeline.

Isn’t Da Vinci Code more about Opus Dei and Angels and Demons the Illuminati?
