Things that amused me...

1 - The fact that the town's entire police force seemed to consist of one (fat) cop and a moped.

2 - I couldn't help but picture go-cart guy's buddy just sitting there in that field twiddling his thumbs waiting pointlessly for him to come back.

3 - I liked the idea of the traps in the woods, but the one with the trees... really? Talk about a delayed reaction trap! If pony tail guy had just kept moving instead of sitting there like an idiot, he'd have been well out of the way before the trap was sprung!

It amused me to, also the fact that (SPOILER) there are still a few kids alive at the end and they aren't mentioned at all.. :p What happened to them after the exploding car? Besides those things I actually liked the movie, I didn't expect I would. :)

My take on the ending is that the man and his new "helper" were heading back to camp to finish off the remaining kids...

i think that they did not even think that far. apart from that i fully agree.

what bothered me, though were the following things:

- that stupid "look, here is light" trap. why wouldnt she just keep moving instead of standing there, waiting to get killed?

- as mentioned, there were enough characters left that would have been worth killing, which would actually made more sense, then what was actually happening.

for the me, the film was like a dark humor horror comedy, until the last third and then completely changed to cliche'D nonsense.

the kids mental illness just gets mentioned, without explanation, even though there was no sign of it at all. at one point they make the viewer think, that both kids are just onem then disproof that.

then the sane cub kid wants to help the evil cub kid, which would have made sense if that had any relevenace in the end. doesn't.

both kids kill the dog. alright, KINDA deserved. then they kill the bully. funny, deserved. then they kill the scout bully. funny, deserved. then they kill the good scout leader. wtf? at the end the kid kills the only person that was nice to him, the blonde chick. why? because just for the f of it. 2nd buggy guy and all the other kids: still alive. how does that make sense?

although i liked the traps, for me that worked just as long as there was a comedic element to the film. once the film turned "serious" i found them to be rather stupid, because a) they would not work in the woods, b) why would someone even do SUCH complicated traps, just to trap people c) so the kids and the completely braindead dude could not have possibly built them and d) they are able to somehow get electricity and running water into a cave in the woods and also to traps that are like miles apart from there, they still live in a shabby cave, like they disregardedmodern technology altogether.
