This show was kind of a hate-watch for me

Despite quality writing and relatable characters, I find the portrayal of grownups struggling with their arrested development too common of late, and tiresome.

I'm of the generation that came of age in the 80s and 90s and I get frustrated with how frequently we see "us" portrayed as reluctant to face life in the world of adults.

This will only get worse as the dreaded Millenial generation ages into their 40s

Sometimes you just have to enjoy shows for what they are. When you begin to critique things, it takes the fun out of it. This show was full of love, laughter, and fun! I'm gonna miss it so much.

I actually agree with the OP. I watched this a bit, largely because of the quality of actors, but I also found the theme rather tiresome.
I also find the idea of just "enjoying something and not being critical" kind of laughable ... I believe that's how we end up with trash? Hahaha.

Me too. After 3 or 5 episodes I started skipping ahead past the husband/wife interactions which were cringey as f(`)ck. The series just had way too much cringe to it, overall.
