Does anyone else think that the show is setting up Peridot for a sad end?
Let's review:
She started out as a villain, got redeemed, is beginning to understand Earth, making friends with Steven and the crystal gems, and pretty much earning her keep as a regular member of the team.
She's gonna die. :(

Not really. I feel like the show will avoid that trope. You don't get punished for good behaviour on this show and should you, you come back stronger.

There are some other gems who may not survive the series, but I think Peridot's safe.
Then Steven better update his theme song to give her a spot.
