Much better than the current one!

His ears actually looked like stretched lobes! When they changed the design, it just looks like floppy ears with huge holes in them. If I had seen that design from the start, I wouldn't have been able to tell it was supposed to represent stretched ear lobes.

Anyone agree?

In general I liked all the designs better in the pilot than the final ones used in the show (sexy Amethyst!). They probably changed his ears to make them look more than donuts, kind of like all of Ronaldo's family has french-fry hair.
