Supes and Diana

Never ship them in new 52. Same for this
Shazam was dope
Cyborg was pitiful in a good way
Flash was not being flash
GL was funny
Bats was being bats

WTF end credit sequence
JL vs Alantis

reply

I don't ship them either. Even though it makes sense since they're both superpowered, but I always felt that Lois being with Superman always gave him this sense of being grounded and closer to humanity, so he's more relatable. With Wonder Woman, the two of them are like a King and Queen, a God and Goddess, an unstoppable powerhouse.

reply

Wonder Woman and Superman being in a relationship is probably my least favourite aspect of the New 52, personally. Batman telling Superman that he's the only one who could stop her if she went bad adds a little drama to it, but I much prefer the classic Superman/Lois relationship.

reply

That's a silly thing for Batman to say, aren't their several other characters that can take her down? Unless they made her character more powerful

reply

Really? I don't think so. In the new 52, GL is pretty weak. If new 52 Diana is as strong as Supe, then yeah, he's the only one to take her down. Sure, Bat can probably take her down with some planning, but the only sure way is Supe.

The superman Wonder Woman comic has been *beep* great favorite scene is when Apollo hits sups with sunlight and his reaction "you hit me with sunlight..... You don't know much about me" and then proceeds to kick his ass. Also there was a good moment between him and bats in the third issue

reply

Do you mean Flash (Barry) not being his sarcastic/witty self? I feel they gave a lot more of that personality to GL.

reply

Flash was severely underused in this for some reason. Its not that he wasn't being himself, just he wasn't given much dialogue or spotlight outside of the very beginning of the film.

reply

Barry Allen Flash, the one in the movie/comic is not meant to be funny. He has his moments, but he's the serious one and Hal was known as being the ladies man/show boater.

Personally I am a fan of Superman and Wonder Woman together. They won't be together forever, but as a fun thing, it's cool to me.

reply

I have to say the worst line was when she was saying she liked being in a pantheon again and compared them to the greek gods. When Superman asked what about me the answer is HERCULES. Because that's who he is basically a clone of. (well, Hugo Danner probably moreso. then again Danner was a Hercules clone himself)
I liked this but there were some off putting elements to it. The voices for one. I'm not against new voice actors. They could have chosen better than they did.

reply

To be fair, Hercules was half-God.

reply

Yeah, Supes and Diana is pretty much a cliched quarterback and cheerleader relationship.

Well, Hugo Hercules predates Hugo Danner by over 25 years. And he was in comics.

It's not nihilism if there's a question mark at the end.

I like the pairing and hope it lasts. This Super Power Couple pairing brings forth new takes on what a relationship between those two powerhouses would be like.

reply

I like it.

reply

I like it too.

The scene where Shazaam tries to court WW and Supes just stares him down is priceless.

reply

It sorta makes sense. Only wonder woman with her wonder v..... can stand up to superman's super pounding, and only superman with his super p.... can stand up to wonder woman's wonder sucking. Lois would be dead before superman even warms up.

reply

i think a better couple would be bats and wonder woman. they did kind of went in that direction in the justice league animated series

reply

Bats is a fan of being able to keep or quickly regain the control of the situation and a woman that is pushy AND stronger than him wouldn't fit in that scheme. Maybe for a quickie and then back to business. Also she likes to slay, he does not.
