Please clarify. I missed a couple details.

1. Why was Maggie (the sister) in jail?

2. Why was Maggie so scared of the woman that was stalking Sophia (the daughter)? I understand that Maggie was apparently sleeping with her husband, and a scorned woman can be dangerous, but the woman’s actions never lead me to believe that she was dangerous to Sophia. Yea, she was waiting outside the apartment and lied about her relationship to Maggie, but why was Maggie so freaked out that she was around, “Get out of the apartment, NOW! Don’t go out the front!” (or whatever the quote was).

1. Both Maggie and the guy were tried with assault, though the lawyer stressed that the guy has the advantage in the case, as Maggie looks like the homewrecker.

2. By Maggie's logic, the man's wife was looking for revenge, so she could potentially hurt Sophia.
