Thomas.

Offhand I can't think of a more pathetic excuse for a man to have graced the screen in years. Vincent Piazza's performance was really smart and genuinely convincing, at least in making me loath this weak wretch he portrayed.

That being said, I found it really hard to find sympathy for the character to offset the growing hatred. Any balance in that regard was found in Rose's character; for me at least.

All in all though, a great little movie.

How was Arquette as Rose? She looks amazing in the previews.

Yeah I think the film makers definitely accomplished what they set out to do as far as the dynamic in audience reaction. You get a feel early on of how pathetic, psychotic, and how much of a loser Thomas is, he's the main character so this just has to be offset by something and that something is Rose. By the end you're rooting for her and want to see her make the right choices. Great movie.
