Very competent effort for a first feature ...

Bryan Bockbrader delivered a solid effort as writer, producer, director and actor. He knew what he wanted, and he put himself right in the middle to see that he got it.

Tony Todd and Danny Trejo lent credibility to the film, even though they only had one scene each.

I had never heard of any of the other actors, but they gave it their all, and turned in some surprising performances.

The script was tight, with a good mix of drama and humor, and a couple of big surprises (Shane!). It took a while for me to understand the relationship between the opening scene, the kidnapping, and the revenge motive, but i think that was intentional, and it was all clear by the time the movie ended.

I look forward to the director's future efforts.

Yeah, not half-bad. Good, interesting core story, well acted, over the top with the violence and blood but that's a deliberate stylistic choice. I gave it a 6. With better production values it could be a solid 7.

I didn't know Trejo was in it, so for me that was a surprise bonus!
