Caught a Goof

When Annie is away on business she calls her sister to ask her to go to the house and check on Jenny. Annie says "I've been trying to get AMBER on the phone for the last two hours". The nanny is posing as JULIE, the real nanny. Annie only knows her as Julie. I can't believe the director or editor didn't catch that.

And...another Goof. When Anne is "googling" Amber's accident she starts reading "Saturday AFTERNOON, a local man and woman injured in a head on collision". Well, clearly the accident scene we saw in the movie occurred late night and the Pearblossom article text clearly stated "late last night". This movie is just riddled with overall sloppiness and the director and editors should never be allowed to work again. A ten year old could have done better.

I was hoping I wasn't crazy. Just heard her "reading" the internet article and definitely heard her say "afternoon". But the headline sure enough states "Accident on Pearblossom Highway Last Night" so I paused it to read the article. Nowhere does it mention afternoon. I remembered the truck headlights in the darkness right before the crash.

The article says "The crash happened along a stretch of highway that is notorious for high speed accidents". And that no drugs or alcohol appear to be involved... and that a 53 year old man from Llano, the driver of the eighteen wheeler, slammed into the car. But it doesn't even bother to say how he is. Just that it was unfortunate the unborn child, 8 months, didn't survive. And that "Mr. Smith might have fallen asleep at the wheel."

...and now I've spent too much time looking up Pearblossom, Ca. I thought they made it up.

You caught a couple of goofs and the director and editors should never be allowed to work again? Do you realize how idiotic that is? Check out Gone With the Wind or Jaws or something...they have so many goofs you'd probably ask for the directors and editors to be put in front of a firing squad. SMH

I'm watching it right now and I caught that immediately!! I can't believe that no one caught that either! I came on here to see if anyone else noticed it! thats a pretty big goof!

reply

I caught that too lol. I was like "who's Amber? I thought she told them her name was Julie". Lol

reply

Yup - caught that too! Somebody screwed up!

they certainly didn't bother to "edit" the movie carefully w/all the goofs that went on in this movie; its like they didn't even bother to "edit" the movie to make sure they didn't make any mistakes - it was sloppy at best.

I love Ashley Scott - she's actually from Louisiana like me and didn't live that far from me; she lived in Metairie and I lived in New Orleans but its only like a 20 minute ride from where I grew up.. I still live in Louisiana but now I live in another area. I'm proud of her, she's done good for herself; she was in that movie w/Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" (ex wrestler) "Standing Tall" and a few other movies as well.. She's so beautiful w/her hair short - she's got a face that could wear her hair long or short - sorry I went off topic, just happy to see Ashley in movies, but they really *beep* up the "editing" in this movie.

Okay, at least it wasn't just me. I was getting so angry!

Seems like they fixed this mistake in the movie. I'm watching right now & it's appearing like they cut the "Amber" part out.
