why didn't devon just say...

In a voiceover interview, Devon said something like I had feelings for Iva and I let them get in the way of what was right and I shouldn't have. Why didn't he just say that out loud to everyone?? They would have treated him sooo much better had he just said that in front of the group. Iva is a huge jerk for treating Devon that way and letting everyone else treat him that way. He may have known she had a boyfriend but she didn't care, so why should he? I think he genuinely liked her and I feel bad for the way everyone kicked him out. He does need to stand up for himself- so that is his own fault. I thought Iva was so nice and sweet, but she she is trash.
