Mommy and Daddy

Anybody else find it really weird that Nattie and her sister consistently refer to their parents as mommy and daddy?

reply

Not at all. It's probably how she referred to them her whole life. Why should she change that just because she's now in her early 30's?

I think it's wrong for people to think she shouldn't do that. It's her family so don't go telling her how she should address her own parents. Nobody's business.

reply

Yes it gets annoying and obnoxious after awhile...mommy and daddy this...mommy and daddy that.

Terms of endearment... Get over it.

Yes, it is weird. I dated this guy and he and his brother called their mom "mommy" and I thought it was super weird and childish. Get off the teet!

reply

I don't think it's weird. It's probably how she grew up. I've heard lots of people say mommy or daddy.

Maybe it's a southern thing. I hear it a lot living in the south.

reply

Totally agree with you. If that's how she grew up then why should she change it? I see nothing wrong with it at all.

reply

My mom didn't want me to call her mommy after a certain age and I wasn't allowed to call my sisters sissy.

reply

I don't think so.

She seems to be really close to her parents and her parents don't mind it.
