Bruno Dumont is overrated

Heard a lot about his movies, seems always appeared at Cannes and highly praised by European critics, especially Cahiers du cinéma. But perhaps that's explains everything, his movies has profound meaning to French (critics)? And couldn't offer much for foreigners.

I mostly avoid grim, black auteur cinema but heard these mini-series is a comedy and gave it a shot.

It has its moments, but overall it was dull.

Second episode is the best, fourth is the worst.

Series too abstract to be a satire, has a thin plot, mechanical, inconsistent (why bother to show a tunnel if it doesn't have any significant meaning?) and visually quite ordinary.

The best part is kids performances, they are so natural. But that not too much.
