The original day is my favorite

The best you could do is up the ante with and updated take on the original characters. I would go as far as using the same script or most similar like the night remake. Make Rhodes even more sadistic, give Frankenstein more ability to get those zombies trained, and then let's get a day sequel where the survivors make it to a zombie less island only to have thier kids expierence the doom when either a half working zombie washes on shore or one of the kids who happens to be fishing in the supposed zombie less waters gets a vorhies like expierence, hides any injuries from his family only to eventually infect the whole new tribe which should even be made up other escaped survivors seeking refuge. I call this one Life of the Dead. Perhaps bub was even brought along and a way to have kept him from infecting anyone with a series of medicines ... I don't know. Old love to see this movie. Give us a newer dr frankenstienesque character who goes nuts and so on

Original one was the best. I am not convinced the remake will be good because of the last version of this movie, plus I haven't seen Johnathon Schaech do a decent movie in I don't know how long. Probably since his small part in Laid To Rest. So I think I will wait and Redbox it. At least $2 isn't that big of a waste of money.

Originals are always good. I'd even go to say that I loved the original Dawn of the Dead. But the remake wasn't that bad actually, although seeing Ken Foree was interesting). I also liked the remake of Night of the Living Dead. It's the other ones that followed in the early 2000s that I didn't like. I did like Children of the Living Dead with Tom Savini and Land of the Dead (which was okay).

Agreed!!! Especially with this particular one! My reason for this is because this movie after this remake will be the second attempt to redo perfection. Unlike the remake of Dawn of the Dead which was pretty cool! That was a great attempt and I applaud the director, actors & actresses for all of their hard work.
But Day of the Dead's first attempt was sour and horrible. I mean Bub being a vegetarian?!?! In a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE??!!!???!!! SERIOUSLY???!!! The acting was terrible with the exception of Ving Rhames as Caption Rhodes. Ving is one of thee actors that reminds me of Ken Foree and how he has played in a handful of Zombie Movies. Both actors are wonderful. However in this particular remake I see no Bub listed!!! WTF??!!?!
Now according to this site Day of the Dead is trying again and many of these actors & actresses are young With that being said I am afraid that not many ppl will be enticed to go see it in the theater or rent it when it is available on DVD of Bluray.
Only time will tell.................
