Rated R?
There is really nothing in this film that was that extream to get an R rating. PG-13 would have been sufficient.

I realize that, but usually the MPAA allows one to two F-words per PG-13 movie, depending on how audible they are. Furious 7, for example.

It depends on the context as well. Using it like in this movie, its not as bad as lets say "I'm going to f--- your ass now!". So I am surprised this film was rated higher than PG-13. Guess the MPAA and critics all hated on this film.
shareYeah, the MPAA has always been a little screwy if you ask me. Some movies deserve R ratings and get PG-13, some vice versa... Who knows what goes on in that system.
