I don't get the negative remarks or low rating. This is freaking hilarious. There are so many little nuances and character oddities that this is very enjoyable. Depp is too funny, Ewan's love for his wife, the feud between the two, i.e. the rotted cheese and cheap wine scene alone had me in stitches. How this gets panned I have no idea. Further proof that the masses know not of which they speak!

Yep, totally agree. Came here just to say the same. There's some bad acting and bad accents but it just doesn't matter here thanks to the humour. It's not often I laugh out loud whilst watching a movie by myself but found myself doing just that on more than one occasion despite this being my second visit to the story. Good stuff.

I couldn't disagree more, it was just a flat, unfunny and uninspiring abuse of talented lead actors' names. I didn't laugh once, not even a little titter to myself.
