One of the most funniest scenes of the last years

I didn't expect to like the movie, the reviews were pretty bad, and I can't stand Depp doing the clown anymore. But anyway, I went because I'd seen everything else, and not only I liked the movie AND Depp, but one scene made me laugh even after the movie had ended. And, surprisingly, it wasn't Depp who I laughed with, but Paul Bettany, from all people. It's the scene where they're in the car, and Bettany is poisoned from the shellfish, and he throws up. The moment he has his head out of the window, and tries to shoot the bad guy, and throws up to his windshield, and Depp says "what a peculiar way of attack" or something, I just burst into laughter and I couldn't stop it. I was remembering it and laughing until I got home!
Just imagine you're a bad guy being chased in your car, and the other guy doesn't shoot you, but attacks you with throwing up on your windshield! I can't think of a funnier moment in recent movie history.

p.s.: Depp's mustache though was unbearable to watch. I could totally feel Paltrow feeling disgust when she was kissing him!

See, right there, what you said proves that you saw what I saw in the film. You read the movie correctly. Frankly, I don't know what these other people consider funny anymore.

reply

I agree! I was laughing throughout the entire film (I'm not even going to call it a movie, because it's more than that, it's an experience). I'd say it is THE best comedy of the last 5 years. My favorite movie since DRAFT DAY with Kevin Costner.

reply

Obviously the only comedy you've seen in the last five years. The fact that it is your favourite film since Draft Day speaks volumes.

reply

How did you know! It's actually the only comedy I've watched, EVER! I usually stick to movies about sports and sportman(s).

reply

Even if this is not a very good movie, it made me laugh more than all recent Hollywood comedies, like Horrible Bosses 2 and such.

Once you finally reach puberty you will develop an adult's taste for films and vomit scenes will loose their appeal...

reply

And once you start elementary school, you'll probably learn how to spell.

reply

LOL. Your avatar is of a fictional comic book character - albeit, a great fictional character. WTF do you know about being an adult?

Why don't you pull the stick out of your ass and realize that comedy is immature by nature. That's what makes it fun or funny.

reply

Great point. And this movie IS hilarious indeed!

reply

"Questionable attack Jock"!

I usually hate vomit or gag (gag-reflex) jokes, but they were done to perfection in this movie!

"Look at it this way; in a hundred years who's gonna care?"

reply

it wasn't one bit funny

reply

There is not one redeeming scene that reaches even the most basic level of comedic value in this film. If you want vomit, watch The Exorcist, if you want comedy, watch Monty Python <any>, if you want to attempt both combined into one, watch Hotel Paradiso

"Sorry I'm late. I was taking a crap"
