Too Dramatized, Not Enough Facts


I watched the Candyland episode, and it was just too bizarre. The narration is weird. The dramatized scenes and dialogue are totally fabricated. The show looks very lacking in credibility.

I agree with the lack of facts (though in the episodes I've seen thus far, you do get a lot of it at the very end). However, I'm kind of digging the hyper dramatization. Instead of the usual ID "Gotta catch em" drama, there's an almost narrative style drama going on. It makes for fairly beautiful backdrops of an era. Things feel very "there".

Now, if only the cases had more info, it'd be perfect. But I will keep watching for the aesthetics of the show.
