I can't believe Mack was found temporarily insane

in the Betty Williams case. Unreal to me that he was especially in the early 60s. The episode just kind of glossed that over, like it wasn't a big deal.

I got the feeling that it was a foregone conclusion that he would get away with it. So the temporary insanity thing didn't surprise me--even for the time and place!

I was surprised he got off either. I agreed with the end that she was hoping he'd say he couldn't do it because he loved her.
