Robosapien: Rebooted?
This sounds very similar to that Cody The Robosapian film except with a robo-dog instead.
shareIt would have been neat if they made a film series with the kid from Robosapien getting a new robotic pal every film. Maybe in RoboRex, the kid from the first film tries to find a dog for Cody and ends up with RoboRex.
