Death & the Maiden...?

Thought it seemed like a remake of Roman Polanski's "Death & the Maiden" & by & large, it was. But with a far, far less sympathetic heroine than portrayed by Signorney Weaver. I do believe the screenplay worked to keep viewers in a reasonable amount of suspense about the antagonist's guilt or innocence.

Ironically, it would have worked better with a tighter ensemble, keeping to Polanski's use of only a few characters & not trying to broaden the scope with additional characters & scenes.

Still, not bad. Worked well within the obviously small budget & limited sets.
