If nothing else...

The movie turned me on to Megan Simon. Love that voice. She does a really nice cover of Pete Townsend's "Let My Love Open the Door."

I thought that the filmmaker was going for something, and I wanted to get into it, I really did, but it seemed a little unbalanced a lot of the time. Chunks of dialogue, then chunks of no dialogue. I thought it could have been blended better. I don't think it's fair to judge it on the same level as larger-budget films, but when looked at as an independently funded film, (I think it was funded online, right?) I can see some talent there. I'm not sure that the "art film" style was the way to go, at least for something of this length and genre. That's asking a lot of a modern audience.

Anyway, I tried to take it for what it was, and as I said, there was some talent there, from the director and the leads, but I think this just wasn't the best vehicle to highlight those talents. Maybe a better script?
