Funny? Hello?! Funny? Where are you?

The show is boring. There's nothing interesting about it. It replaced Axe Cop (random hilarity) on Animation Domination. I stopped recording after 3 episodes. I've giggled once. Pathetic.

It's alright. Miles ahead of axe cop, that show seemed to be targeted at kids or the mentally retarded.

Axe cop is OK. You probably don't get some of the references in Lucas Bros. Like when Master Pea Soup went over the bridge and cried out "NOOO no-no no-NOOOO!" man I lost it!

Call them ISIL. Isis is an overloaded term that has many other legitimate uses.

The show has an over-reliance on 90s nostalgia as the fulcrum of its humor. It's great if you remember Family Matters and Fresh Prince and Martin and professional wrestling during that decade, but the humor fails to stand on its own two feet. The last episode I watched was just a series of Family Matters references.

The format of the show I feel has been laid out by every post-Adult Swim, stoner-bait, animated situational alternative-comedy before it. The show often feels lazy, the main characters sound lazy in delivering their lines, and each script feels like it was cranked out in about an hour while in the presence of a bong. Some of these ingredients work for other shows but here it almost feels like the creators were content to just reuse these elements as an automatic recipe for funny.

I rewatched the series and I want to revise my harsh critique. It's a pretty funny show with a lot of originality, more so than I originally gave it credit. But it's still far too reliant on 90s references, which is going to hurt its re-watch-ability as time goes on. 100 years from now, Lucas Bros won't make sense to anyone because they didn't grow up watching Family Matters and Sister Sister.
