I can't be the only who thinks this a bit pervy and kinda homoerotic

The pervy parts is the name and leg wrestling. The homoerotic parts: the guy literally walks around with a gay symbol on (the suspenders), one show even suggested that he might be into drag(buyng a feather boa and granny glasses.

I don't have any problem with this, but make it more gritty and put it on Adult Swim.

I only seen a few shows so far but UG does seem like he goes both ways to me. Definitely has a feminine/maternal side. I just hope he knows better than to mess with underaged kids. I think so because as bad as his judgement is, his heart seems true.

Definitely inappropriate for when its on. I think its funny but i promise my future kids are not allowed to watch television.

Innappropriate? Are you a moron? You wouldn't let your kids watch cartoons? You must be a crappy parent. It's a kids show idiot!

reply

That's a very immature and over the top response don't you think? To call or label someone a "moron" for stating that they wouldn't allow their children to watch a certain show is not exactly respecting their opinion. It's certainly your right to disagree but they merely stated their opinion and in a respectable manner unlike you who spouted childish monikers. I totally respect your opinion that you might disagree with this person find it surprising but to resort to name calling??? That's unnecessarily rude. I happen to share their opinion that it's inappropriate for children. Well, younger children at least. It's obviously geared towards older children (teenagers?) and adults just like Adventure Time. I myself watch shows like Adventure Time, like my 18 year old son, but I DO NOT allow my youngest to watch shows like UG. I'ts just not appropriate for him at his age. I'm not saying it's inappropriate all together, just definitely for children of certain ages. I'm all for silly and sometimes silly-stupid but there is a limit when it comes to children of certain ages and this show is just NOT for little ones. Just because it has a tiger, man with a funny voice and a pizza with sunglasses doesn't make it for kids. If that were the deciding factor half the shows on Adult Swim would be for kids, but they or not. someone who actually monitors what their kids watch is being a parent (although I think the poster said "if they had children"), but still. It's nice to see some people still actually care. As opposed to people who just plop their kids in front of the tv and don't care or who think that just because everyone's doing it it must be ok and anyone who thinks otherwise is just "stupid" or a stuffy parent.

I really hate the "I'm an adult too" generation; I see stuff like this all the time:

"Movie theaters are just losing out for not letting me into some R rated movie, nothing bad was there, we all know about sex and stuff"

And the whole video game "censorship" nonsense they spew; again complaining about how the rating system keeps them from buying the game outright when they say "well, we just pay someone else to buy it for us."

I've seen teens flip out when a parent confiscates their "hard earned cellphone" because they were texting and driving even. "I paid for it with my own money, they don't have a right, it's stealing!"

Parents get way too much disrespect these days, it may only be because I'm young and never really been in the "old days", but at the very least, kids are much more openly hostile to parents due to social media.

Are you serious or just trolling? How are rainbow suspenders considered homoerotic? You sir, are a retard.

The name has put a lot of people off. My sister recently asked me if this was OK for her son to watch, he had seen some with me and wanted to watch it on Netflix at home. She said her friend also didn't know if it was appropriate for kids, from the name and seeing the characters. I said it was no worse than Ren & Stimpy, maybe less gross and more weird.

The leg wrestling honestly was a little uncomfortable to watch, but I think that's why it was funny. If you don't push the envelope a little you make something bland. I don't think it needs to be grittier either, I find a lot of "adult" animation shows work a little too hard at being "adult" by including a lot of unnecessary sex and violence.
