Basically copied this movie which copied some aspects of Fight Club

Don't you think it's a little unlikely that Sam Esmail copied a german film that almost nobody who isn't german knows of? Sam Esmail used Fight Club and V for Vendetta as inspirations, just like the director of Who Am I.

The creator of 'Mr Robot' had written it as a movie in 2013 and eventually came up with the series idea later.
The pilot was ordered by USA in July 2014.
'Who Am I' came out in September 2014.
