Saw the premier!

Well damn, I can't review it since it hasn't been released. In that case I'll say a bit more here. I don't want to give any spoilers but want to give you an idea what you're gonna get.

If you're a horror fan, the type who knows all the different icons, realize that the movies have a formula, maybe attend horror cons, then this movie is or you!!! It's not a straight up slasher flick, it's got gore but it's more of a horror comedy. It has a lot of in jokes for those of us who like this type of movie. If you watch with someone not so much into horror they're gonna wonder why you're laughing in certain places. What the hell let em wonder, it's good for them.

The only thing I'm not sure if I like was that it's told out of order. Now granted this was a t a convention and I like most was a little toasty by the time the show started but that first time jump kind of threw me. Most people though seemed to like the time jumps (or at least said they did when Schneider asked the audience about it.) I'll have to see it again when it comes out (sober) and see if it bothers me :)

But besides that, it was just a fun damn movie! The right amounts of gore, silliness and outright craziness! Also fun to see all those icons in one movie. I plan to buy it when it comes out, seems worth having in my collection. If you're not willing to make that jump at least rent it and check it out or if it plays in your town, go see it. It's worth the one time watch for any horror fan i think, and maybe more. Personally I'll give it a 7/10 and only reason its not an 8 is that time jump thing.

I'm a huge horror fan and knew nothing about this movie before today but the trailer made it look fun. I live in NC and that sounds pretty awesome,
